I had no idea of what to expect going into this nutrition challenge, but knew only good could come from it. I could go through my weeks during challenge, but will share what I call “light bulb moments”. My first moment was when a friend had asked how much weight I had lost, but my response was different than any other time. I didn’t really care about amount lost but was more excited on the new things I was doing. In my mind, it wasn’t any longer about weight it had become wanting to become stronger. I was more excited to be asked by a friend to go run than to be asked to go out to eat, but most of all I was able to do IT! Food in the past was always my source of entertainment and now would so rather run at the park. BIG CHANGE… Second moment was when I started thinking about food, and was feeling down. I was thinking will I ever be able to have Taco Mac’s “chicken nachos” ever again! Then I read about all the amazing people from CFC trying out for the CrossFit Games WOW how amazing would it be to do that!! So the “light bulb” moment was in order to do anything like that or truly perform strong and make any progress with my days at CrossFit, I had to put ALL good food in. Nachos will not do the job! So I think the quote Karen said was, “how will this affect my performance?” stuck! I am so happy I signed up for challenge and would do another when offered. Thank you CFC for your support!!!
